We Are Chosen
Colossians 3:12–14
“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
What Does It Mean to Be Chosen?
Chosen for Love
God’s love isn’t something we earn—it’s freely given. At camp, we’ll learn to see ourselves as beloved children of God and to share that love with others.
Chosen for Community
Camp is a place where everyone belongs. Through games, teamwork, and shared experiences, campers will practice compassion, patience, and forgiveness—living out God’s call to “clothe yourselves with love.”
Chosen to Grow in Faith
Each day at camp offers new ways to explore Scripture, worship in nature, and reflect on how faith shapes our lives. Whether we’re singing around the campfire, hiking through the hills, or paddling across the lake, we’ll see how God’s presence weaves through everything we do.
At LOSD camps—Outlaw Ranch, Klein Ranch, and NeSoDak—campers will step away from distractions, embrace creation, and discover that being chosen by God means being part of something bigger: a community built on grace, love, and harmony.

Because everyone deserves the chance to experience camp.
At Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota, we believe that cost should never be the reason someone misses out on the life-changing experience of camp. Whether it's your first time or a long-standing tradition, camp is a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and explore the beauty of God’s creation — and we want to make sure it’s accessible to everyone.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, scholarships are available for all of our camps. The application process is simple, confidential, and designed to ensure families get the support they need.
If you or someone in your household needs financial assistance to attend camp, we encourage you to apply. Every request is handled with care and respect.

Our team will review your request and be in touch with the next steps.
Once approved, scholarship funds will be applied directly to your camp registration.

Tiered Pricing
Starting with our 2026 summer season, LOSD is introducing a tiered pricing structure. Our goal is to make camp possible for every household. This model allows families to choose the rate that best fits their budget —while ensuring we continue to offer the exceptional camp experience you expect from LOSD.
$1,000
Reflects the full cost of a camp experience — supporting program and operating expenses.
$750
A partially subsidized rate made possible through generous donors.
$650
Our traditional Early Bird price
No matter which tier you choose, every camper enjoys the same great experience.
Please note: The Family Max rate applies only to Family Camp sessions. Families sending multiple children to youth camps are encouraged to reach out — we’re always happy to discuss ways to make camp affordable for everyone.
Rates may vary slightly for specialty or weeklong programs.
