Lutherans Outdoors Operates Five Unique Camps in South Dakota

 

NeSoDak is a waterfront camp on Lake Enemy Swim in northeast South Dakota. NeSoDak is open year-round

 

Klein Ranch is a large western horse ranch on the high plains of north central South Dakota. It is open for 3 months during the summer and features horseback riding.

 

Outlaw Ranch and Atlantic Mountain Ranch are both located near Custer in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Outlaw Ranch is a comfortable dude ranch in the heart of the Black Hills and is open year round.

AMR is a high adventure youth camp which is open for 3 months during the summer offering camping in a Fort, service projects on an Indian reservation, backpacking trips in Wyoming and Black Hills, and programs to design your own activities and adventures.

Joy Ranch
is the newest camp of Lutherans Outdoors, located northwest of Watertown, SD. Programs are being developed for family retreating and therapeutic horseback riding for children with special needs.

Who is LO?

Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota (LO) is a nonprofit organization that provides camping and retreating programs for persons of all ages and is supported by the South Dakota Synod of the ELCA and the Wyoming Conference of the Rocky Mountain Synod. These programs are implemented throughout five camps located in unique geographical settings across South Dakota. While a large percent of our programs are religious-based (summer camps and winter retreats), we also reach
out to environmental education groups, school groups, and retreat groups.

LO camps make safety a priority and fun a necessity. Each camp is equipped with well trained staff and operates under American Camp Association (ACA) guidelines. While at camp, you will experience LO’s signature hospitality, Christian community, nature exploration, as well as spiritual and personal growth.
