Raffle Participant Rules

ELIGIBILITY

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase or possess a raffle ticket.
  • Development Employees, Executive Director, and immediate household members or others directly involved in managing the raffle are ineligible to participate

TICKET SALES

  • Raffle tickets will be sold from June 1, 2026, to August 21, 2026 or until sold out.
  • Ticket prices are as follows: 1 Entry – $100, 3 Entries – $250, or 7 Entries – $500 payable by cash, check, credit card and online, as authorized by the organization.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, except if the raffle is canceled by the organization. • A physical or digital ticket must be issued to confirm participation — lost tickets will not be replaced.
  • Tickets may only be sold by authorized representatives of Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota.

DRAWING DETAILS

  • The raffle drawing will take place on August 28, 2026, at the Lutherans Outdoors in SD Administrative Office via Facebook Live Drawing at 12:30pm CDT, and will be conducted fairly and publicly.
  • All eligible tickets will be entered into the drawing; winners will be selected at random.
  • The drawing will be supervised by at least two members of the organization to ensure transparency.
  • Need not be present to win, unless otherwise stated.

PRIZES

  • Prize(s) and their fair market values will be listed on the raffle ticket or promotional materials.
  • Prizes cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash (unless otherwise specified).
  • Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, or licenses related to the prize.
  • If a prize is not claimed within [e.g., 30 days] of notification, the organization reserves the right to select an alternate winner or use the prize for future fundraising.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

  • Winners will be notified by [phone/email/public posting] within 7 days after the drawing.
  • The list of winning ticket numbers will be available at Lutherans Outdoors Administrative Office.
  • The organization’s decision on the drawing outcome is final and binding.

USE OF PROCEEDS

  • All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Camp for All Fund (camperships), in accordance with South Dakota law (SDCL § 22-25-25).

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

  • This raffle is conducted in compliance with South Dakota Codified Laws §§ 22-25-23 through 22-25-25, which allow raffles by authorized nonprofit organizations.
  • Raffle notice was properly filed with the South Dakota Secretary of State prior to ticket sales.
  • Any disputes will be resolved according to the laws of the State of South Dakota.

DISCLAIMER

  • By purchasing a ticket, participants agree to these official rules and the decisions of the organization, which are final. 
  • The organization reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the raffle if unforeseen circumstances arise.
