NeSoDak · At the Water
Retreat Host
NeSoDak is searching for a year-round Retreat Host to help with the groups that use our facilities. Retreat Hosts are directly involved with hospitality ministries all year, providing opportunities for our guests or simply being present for their needs.
About the position
This is a paid, year-round position with housing provided. It offers opportunities for hospitality coordination and implementation, facility setup, activity leadership, and program support. The role flows into the summer months with similar expectations for campers and summer staff.
Serve in community
Within a Christian community of year-round staff, energetic campers, financial supporters, guests, and volunteers, the Retreat Host helps a team serve the needs of churches and private retreat groups throughout the year. Experiences for youth, families, and custom guest stays are all hosted here on Lake Enemy Swim.
What you’ll do
This position has a flexible day-to-day routine. Work includes preparing facilities for incoming groups, welcoming and hosting groups while they are here, providing experiences as requested or as skills allow, and cleaning up as groups depart.
Experiences may include leading team builders, providing access to bikes and the waterfront, and starting campfires. The focus may also vary based on your interests, allowing you to develop skills for a successful career in ministry, hospitality, or program leadership.
Compensation and benefits
Housing, utilities, a biweekly stipend, frequent meals, paid training, and opportunities to attend professional gatherings are all provided.
