Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota works in partnership with our camper's parent(s)/guardian(s) to provide the best possible care for their camper(s). We will make every attempt to contact you prior to outside medical interventions, while keeping a camper's health and safety our primary concern. You can expect a phone call for health related issues under the following circumstances:

• Anytime a camper requires medical attention at a hospital or emergency room. 

• If we have concern about properly dispensing a medication.

• If after 24 hours of monitoring a camper continues to exhibit fever or need for medical attention or care beyond our ability.

• Anytime there are questions about a camper's health care that need clarification

• If a camper’s health concern may put the greater camp program at risk. For example, a camper testing positive for Covid.
